About the Miss Wyoming Scholarship Program
The position of Miss Wyoming requires a young woman to work effectively to make a positive difference in the lives of the youth and adults in Wyoming, while promoting excellence in education and scholarship, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, serving as a public relations representative and ambassador for the Miss Wyoming Scholarship Organization, and being an ambassador for the State of Wyoming.
- Participation Requirements
General Requirements for Participating in the Miss Wyoming Scholarship Pageant:
- Be between the ages of 17 and 24
- Be a United States citizen
- Meet residency requirements for competing in Wyoming
- Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization, and the Miss Wyoming Scholarship Board
- Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements
- Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the local program in which you compete
- Provide original transcripts from all schools attended
General Requirements for Participating in the Miss Wyoming’s Outstanding Teen Scholarship Pageant:
- Be a young lady between the ages of 13 and 17
- Be a United States citizen
- Meet residency requirements for competing in Wyoming
- Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization
- Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements
- Be able to meet the time commitment and responsibilities as et forth by the Miss Wyoming Scholarship Board
- Must not be eligible to compete in the Miss America Competition
Provide original transcripts from all schools attended.
Miss Wyoming and Miss Wyoming’s Outstanding Teen Scholarship Program
In affiliation with the Miss America Organization, a fifty-eight year tradition continues in Wyoming!
The Miss Wyoming scholarship program supports outstanding young Wyoming women in achieving their post-secondary education goals by providing scholarship monies for college at the state pageant. During her reign as Miss Wyoming, each Miss Wyoming has the potential to educate thousands of children and adults on a current civic topic across our state. As a representative of the best in our youth, Miss Wyoming serves as a positive role model to children from corner to corner of the Equality State.
This year, the Miss America Organization and the Miss Wyoming Scholarship Foundation are excited to announce the inaugural year for the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Program. This new scholarship program is open to outstanding young ladies ages 13 to 17. Along with the Miss Wyoming Scholastic Pageant Program, this program is designed to promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America’s young teens.
